In August 2017, I will be taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Gold award expedition in Norway, together with nine other students from William Edwards Secondary School. We will be building tents, camping under the stars, cooking meals and keeping each other's spirits at a high. Using skills such as team building, communication and independence we are hoping to achieve this award and, along the way, we hope to learn many more skills that we will continue to use in the future.

In the next few months we will be planning and holding numerous fundraising events - details to follow. In the meantime I am raising funds myself by washing cars, selling items of clothing/books and baking.

Before we embark on the trip, we are required to undertake different challenges - physical, volunteering and a skill - documenting everything we do and what we learn along the way. At the end of this award, we will need to evidence all of these sections.
