Hi Everyone,

So, I am doing a skydive on Friday 26th August in Guernsey. A skydive has been on my bucket list for a while now and my dream would be to do it in Dubai over the palm, however, I do not know when this will be possible. When I saw the opportunity to do it locally I thought just go for it.

I am going to be jumping in honour of my Pop Steve and Oscar, who are sadly no longer with us and battled cancer longer than deserved, but I hope they will be proud of me.

So, I have decided to fundraise for St John Emergency Ambulance Service and the Guernsey Society for Cancer Relief.

The Guernsey Society for Cancer Relief provides assistance to cancer sufferers and their families when the extra financial burdens are beyond the capabilities of the family. In particular, they help with the costs of accommodation and travel when patients and relatives need to go off the island for treatment. This charity is close to home as it has supported me and my family in the past.

SJEAS work tirelessly to provide emergency care and treatment to the community of Guernsey, and I wanted to give to a charity that can be beneficial to everyone. I feel it is a very worthy cause and without them, we would be lost. SJEAS has also been needed for family and close friends of mine in the past, so am also grateful for their help during a worrying time.

I, as a student nurse, find it really rewarding to help and care for others and so where possible I will help out where I can to also give back in other ways.

Any donation and support would be greatly appreciated. All donations will be split and equal amounts given to both charities. I am excited to say the least but also very nervous!!
