Story

Last year, we heard the story of Amy May Shead, who suffered a catastrophic allergic reaction to a nut which left her severely brain injured, with no compensation from the restaurant responsible. As a member of our family has a nut allergy, we are very aware of the serious nature of nut allergies, and felt compelled to raise money to help provide medical and financial support to Amy. Shortly after we decided to sign up for this fundraising event, our Mum / Auntie suffered a serious stroke. The Stroke Association have been an excellent resource, providing help and support in a time of crisis.

Our team of 5 ( 4 cousins, Debbie, Lorraine, Vicki & Lynsey, along with our Dad / Uncle, Keith ) have decided to climb Mount Snowdon to raise money for both of these causes. We will split any funds equally between them.

We will climb Mount Snowdon on May 6th 2018 and hope to fit in a few training walks before then. Amy May and Auntie May are both inspirational people and we will have them in mind as we take on this challenge!
