On May 18th 'Coventry Man With A Van' were out on their journey to work. They were driving down Woodway Lane in Walsgrave, Coventry. When they drove into a police chase, that involved 6 police cars, 2 unmarked police cars, 1 police motorbike and a police helicopter! The police had followed the wanted car all the way from Stratford! Martin Bates, stopped his van and asked his colleague to jump put of the van who was the passenger, to try and stop the criminal who jumped out of the car and was attempting to escape from the police on foot.
The criminal was then floored by his colleague and was then arrested by the police. The next morning Martin has woken up to find his van has been vandalized, his 4 tyres have been slashed and the word 'GRASS' has been sprayed across his van!

I have set up this page to try and help to fund the damages to his van and also for his lively-hood, he has 3 children to look after also, and he will now be out of work until his van is back up and running again, digging out of his own pocket for money that he has worked hard for.

All he tried to do was help the community, by stopping a criminal.
