COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on the world as we know it. In the frontline, many healthcare workers have made the ultimate sacrifice by laying down their lives while caring for patients (ref).

Many have suffered untold hardships, often with inadequate protection and developed physical and mental health disorders. Several health workers have been stranded and left families abroad while helping our patients in the NHS.

Our research, conducted in collaboration with Imperial College London and University of Herts, will focus on exploring these risks, trial measures & interventions to reduce harm, monitor their health and support their recovery.
