I've raised £5000 to help the families starving in India due to the lockdown effects of the Covid-19 crisis.

The Covid-19 crisis is affecting people around the globe and some of those worst affected do not even have the virus. In many Indian cities for instance, millions of people who live a day-to-day existence can no longer earn wages for themselves because of the lockdown, and without a state security system, they and their families are starving.
Asha Handicrafts, Shared Earth’s supplier in Mumbai, has set up a scheme to help some of these people. They tell us that $6-7 will feed a person for a month, with basic groceries like rice and lentils. That’s the price of a pint of beer – food for a whole month!
We've already donated $3000 directly to this scheme but when we stepped back, we realised we could do more so we’re setting up a fund to help these people, via Asha Handicrafts. We’d like if possible to reach £5,000 as soon as we can, before the situation gets worse in India. Will you help?
