Story

Shem Lejarde's father died of cancer when he was only 6. Before his death his father Ross Lejarde used to "knock -up" with his sons. There is a YouTube video on-line entitled "is he the smallest table tennis player" . Since his father;s death, Shem's mother has struggled to bring up her 2 boys bu working as a care homer manager. But Shem decided he wanted to play table tennis for England so has been getting regular coaching.and due to his hard work he has been selected by Table Tennis England to attend the 9-13 year old development coaching course, which is held in Nottingham. His mother, being Filipino, does anything for her children to succeed and due to pride, does not ask for any charity. She has no idea I have set this page up (at 70 I guess this will be my first and last time doing this type of thing). I recently took on the role as Chairman of our Herne Bay table tennis club and a couple of months ago somebody informed me that Sarah, Shem's mother, was taking Shem to England matches and training session by leaving home at 03;00-04:00 whilst Shem, slept in the ca, because she could not afford overnight accommodation. Obviously this had an impact on Shem's playing performance.

Our club and 3 committee members have donated £350 towards the cost for this years B&B accommodation and the Kent TT Association also donated £100.

BUT 2019 is where I am asking if anyone would like to contribute towards a 13 year old boy's dream of playing for England Table Tennis and helping him and his mother to stay in B&B accommodation when they have to keep going to Nottingham for the training sessions and other places to play matches.

If you type in Shem Lejarde on Google you will find article on how this young boy;s development is going.

THANK YOU in advance for reading this article and for any amount of a donation you wish to give.

This is all new to me, so nothing ventured nothing gained eh?
