I've raised £1000 to Help fund the purchase of essential kit to provide basic life support training in the local community.

In the UK around 30,000 people per year have an out of hospital cardiac arrest, in their homes and in the local community, sadly only 1 in 10 of these victims survives this traumatic event, as a result of CPR being administered at an early stage.
Heartbreaking stories of family members who are devastated at the fact that they were unable to help their loved ones who have suffered an out of hospital cardiac arrest. Stories of mothers who panic and are unable to act when their young one is choking or non responsive always push me to try and educate people on the importance of basic life support training.
To help local people and ensure they are ready for such situation, vital basic life support training has to be obtained, but for training to be delivered equipment is essential. This equipment starts from around £800 to over £1500 It consists of manikins in many sizes (adults, child and infant) to teach basic chest compression methods, choking manikin, universal AED (automated external defibrillator) trainer, paediatric and adult first aid training equipment and many essential leaflets and informative data and many other important equipment.
Your generosity in supporting this cause will not only help us make this essential purchase to train people, but will help save a life, it will help that young man who's father arrested infront of him, the mother who is trying to help her choking child and that young boy who collapsed on a football pitch and his friends are unaware of what to do!
Assisting in this cause will help people have a second chance at life.
