I've raised £1000 to help me fund my attempt to walk the length of Britain to raise awareness for Archie Battersbee's pending foundation/charity.

In August 2022, 12 year old Archie Battersbee sadly passed away after battling injuries obtained an accident at home. Following his funeral, his family will be setting up some form of charity/foundation in his memory that will aim to keep youngsters off the streets by teaching them the sports that Archie loved, Trampoline, Gymnastics, Boxing and MMA.
As a close friend of the family, I have been wanting to have a positive input somehow, and now I have found a way to be useful. And so I have proposed that I walk from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise money and awareness for the cause. I will also be documenting my journey. There is a lot to plan for, a 1200 mile journey by foot that will take me from the extreme south west of England through to the coast of North East Scotland, walking up to 30 miles a day with a 30 kg pack. A daunting task that is expected to take around two months, camping mostly but also the odd b&b for a shower and a battery charge. This will all of course, take money. I have already paid out around £700 just on basic kit for the journey, however, I still need more, and, I'll need supplies and the occasional roof over my head across the two months. I will, of course be ploughing as much as I can into making this happen myself, I will have to also save two months bill money etc before I leave, however, any support towards completing the challenge would be gratefully recieved and most appreciated indeed. If I can fund it, I can help boost awareness for the cause and raise it some much needed funds to begin helping the community.
If you made it this far, thank you for your time,
Many thanks,
Craig Elliott
