I've raised £2000 to Ward 8 at WGH in the memory of local lad, Craig Fairgrieve, who sadly passed after his brave battle against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

We are running a fundraiser to raise money for Ward 8 at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh in the memory of local guy Craig Fairgrieve who sadly passed away in July 2018, after his brave battle against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
Craig was a local lad, from Macmerry who was then brought up in Tranent, he was known by many in and around the town as he attended the Ross High school and played football for our local team Tranent Juniors U21’s.
Unfortunately, many of us have or will experience cancer in our own lifetime against us and/or our family/friends. For those who have, it may be all too familiar the challenges that patients and their families face during prolonged periods of time in the hospital. The hospital staff are amazing but these times can be uncomfortable for both the patient and their families.
Our aim, as Craig’s family and friends, is to raise as much money as possible to donate directly to the hospital so they can purchase items to help improve the comfort of the patient and the families stay during their treatment.
A fundraiser event being held in East Lothian will be organised in the new year and tickets and information will follow.
