    Story

Suicide is the leading cause of young deaths in the UK.

    INNER STRENGTH Mission Statement...

“To engage with young people, encouraging them to pursue their unlimited potential”

Having worked with young people for many years we have seen on many occasion young people go from being outgoing, happy and engaging to depressive with anxieties that have lead to unhappiness and isolation. Often this ends with a good outcome although we have sadly experienced those struggling with internal battles that have lead to self-harm or worse.

The catalyst that lead to the birth of INNER STRENGTH was the tragic suicide of 17 year old Michael Gill. Michael was a much loved and respected young man with massive potential and creativity but sadly on May 1st 2017 he took his own life leaving his family, friends and a community devastated.

Our charitable organisation, aims to work with young people helping them to believe and see the unlimited potential that they have within them, helping them with confidence and skills to make positive choices in and about their lives and future.

All young people endure some type of heartache, pain and stress through one thing or another. Some sources of this heartache, pain and stress could be through being bullied, peer pressure, trying to fit in, exams, family problems, relationship break up’s, substance misuse and many more reasons.

Part of our vision aims to support schools and academies delivering inspirational speeches, intervention workshops and alternative therapies helping young people facing issues such as depression, anxiety, bullying, self-harm and suicidal thoughts.

INNER STRENGTH is built up of a great team, all have experienced and overcome some of the most challenging circumstances, now with a passion to support young people overcome their challenges.

Our Ethos is built on The Four Pillars of INNER STRENGTH (The 4 E’s)
Esteem (Respect), Educate (Teach), Encourage (Uplift), Empower (Equip)
