So, I don't normally do this type of thing but...

My daughter Lucy started vaulting with the RDA at Shiresmill and I was asked if I wanted to take part in white water rafting to raise funds to buy a new horse. I of course said "no chance". However, I did offer to do a sponsored cycle from Alloa to Dunfermline and back as it was all getting a bit awkward.

Sadly, they thought this would be a good idea and I'm now faced with a sweaty journey to Fife and back. The RDA have vaulting sessions every week which helps young people who attend socialise, build their confidence and self-esteem. Lucy loves her time with Jaffa the horse (pictured). I intend to undertake this arduous cycle before the end of September despite my arthritis and obesity.

If you have a few pounds to help me achieve my target then you have my eternal gratitude. Did I mention I have arthritis?
