I've raised £2000 to support athletes travelling to the Special Olympics GB 40th Anniversary Games in Stirling from the 9-13 August - by walking 1000 miles.

As many of you know I have been a supporter of Special Olympics and the opportunities it provides for people with learning disabilities for 25 years. I have attended World and National Special Olympics Games so I am happy to see the Special Olympics GB 40th Anniversary Games coming to my home Town, Stirling.
To help provide support for athletes travelling to the Games I have set myself a challenge to walk 1000 miles before the Games. Seemed like a good idea till the Beast from the East stepped in.
You can follow my efforts on the 40th Games Facebook Page - thank you for your support and why not come along to the Games and learn more about this fantastic Charity.
