Story
As you may or not be aware my Mum was involved in a serious Road Traffic Accident in which she threw our son Phoenix to safety saving his precious life, but unfortunately was run over and sustained life threatening injuries and ending up on a life support machine. The machine that saved her life (along with her sheer determination to survive) is called an ECMO machine (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) which provides both cardiac and respiratory support to someone whose heart and lungs are unable to provide an adequate amount of gas exchange to sustain life. There are only 5 hospitals in the country that have these life saving machines.
So myself and Bex are taking on the challenge to walk/cycle the Pennine Way which is a gruelling 268 miles going from Kirk Yetholm in Scotland to Edale in hopefully 10 days 😬
We are doing this to raise funds to help towards getting more ECMO machines in hospitals to ensure more lives can be saved, we will keep you posted on our daily challenges so if you donate no matter how little we would be really grateful, thank you.
