What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

In April this year, I volunteered to join the Board of the Bennachie Leisure Centre in Insch. The Centre is a community funded, and volunteer led facility offering fitness classes, kids activities and events in the village. It is a fantastic asset but unfortunately is underused and as a result has a large debt which must be repaid before we can rebuild the centre.

We started a crowdfunding campaign www.crowdfunder.co.uk/keep-blc-open and this Spinathon is the last of 3 formal events to raise the money we need.

The Board are taking part in the Spinathon, so please sponsor us!
