We are hoping to raise £1000 during our 48 Hour Live Broadcast on the 10th of October through to the 12th of October to help fundraise for this year's Christmas Toy Appeal 'Cram the Van'.

We are delighted to be kicking off our fundraising for this year's Cram the Van appeal, which supports families across our listening area with presents and gift vouchers. We need to raise at least £5000 in total between now and early December to buy all the gift vouchers we need for the 100 or so teenagers we support. In total including the toy appeal, we support over 250 infants, children and young people so they can open presents on Christmas day and bring cheers to families across the area, The campaign is completely anonymous with Radio Skye working in partnership with local children services such as Highland Council Children's Services, Skye and Lochalsh Young Carers, Skye and Lochalsh Citizens Advice Bureau, Early Years and Midwifery services, Ross Women's Services, Skye and Lochalsh Community Food Bank and local schools.

On Thursday youth presenter Sam Maclelland and YouthSPACE Mentor Robert John MacInnes will be be doing a whole 24 hours of broadcasting bringing you great tunes and chat with interviews and great music throughout. On Friday the rest of the Radio Skye team will be coming on air throughout the next 24 Hours to bring you a great mix of shows, interviews, chat and information on how you can donate.
