Story
Dear Friends and Supporters,
For over 6 years, Creart Collective, a Dudley-based CIC, has been a vital lifeline for underserved women, including migrants and refugees. We empower them through essential programs like digital skills, ESOL classes, psycho education, and capacity-building groups,
The women we support face extraordinary challenges. Research confirms that over half of refugees and asylum seekers suffer from mental disorders, a crisis compounded by the intense isolation and systemic stress of the asylum process. Trapped in hotel accommodations, subsisting on approximately £40 per week, and waiting years for a Home Office decision, their mental health is severely compromised.
Our services are the critical antidote to this isolation, providing community, purpose, and foundational skills.
Until recently, trough partnership with local organisations we provided crucial support by securing transport passes for our participants. Unfortunately, has now ended.
The stakes are immediate and high: Without renewed transport funding, 30 women will be forced to withdraw from our programs. This means returning to isolation, exacerbating their mental health struggles, and losing the community and skills they have worked so hard to build.
We refuse to let financial barriers dismantle years of progress. We are launching the ‘Wheels of Hope’ campaign to raise £5,000 to secure six months of bus passes/day savers for these 30 women.
This funding is for access. It’s the difference between being trapped and being integrated. It ensures they can continue to:
Attend sessions that manage their mental health.
*Develop skills (digital and vocational) for future employment.
Feel their lives matter while they await their status, creating a stable foundation for the future.
Please consider making a donations to our campaign today. Your contribution is a direct investment in a woman's mental well-being and their journey toward resilience.
£50=One month of transport for one woman
£167=Three months of transport for one woman
£5,000=Six months of transport for all 30 women
Let's ensure the wheels of hope keep turning in Dudley.
Thank you for being a part of the Creart Collective community.
Warm regards,
The Creart Collective Team
