Story

Education, Employment and Entrepreneurship; three great 'Es' that when combined can bring about invaluable opportunities for an individuals' personal and professional growth.

I have been fortunate enough to grow up in a country where most things come relatively easily right from the basics of a roof over my head through to having access to health care, education, plentiful job opportunities and support for starting my own business.

With a background in and passion towards supporting young people in education and inspiring individuals (young and old) to achieve their aspirations I have always sought ways in which to share my knowledge and skills to benefit others. I hugely value any opportunity to cross-culturally collaborate in both personal and professional life, this a motivation, having already taken me to work on education and entrepreneurial projects in Italy, Bulgaria and Australia.

With my late Grandfather being an educator in Ghana and in later life a lecturer of African History for English universities I have always aspired to visit Africa and give back. So when I found out about the work of The Responsible Safari Company with an opportunity to undertake a voluntary project in Malawi, in May 2018, it was a calling not to be missed!

The project itself aims to inspire young people to stay in education thus enabling increased opportunities to be open to them in future, in parallel to supporting women in Malawian communities to commence sustainable business start-ups. It is a project that I hope my skills and experience will bring value to and in turn enable me to return to my business back home to further support my own clients growth.

So in support of raising some funds to aid my participation in this project I have decided to undertake the Plymouth 10k on Sunday 8th October this year (a mere 5 and a bit weeks away!). For those of you who know me well running has never been a forte of mine, however I feel the challenge just goes a little way to showing how much it means for me to have the opportunity to contribute the the great work of The Responsible Safari Company . So I sincerely request that if you are able to pledge a few pennies to support this project, please know they will be gratefully received and will go a long way to helping me achieve my goal. I would also encourage you to check out the work of The Responsible Safari Company and if you are a fan of all things social I implore your to follow, like and share @RSCMalawi

As ever my mission is to Create Capture and Share those moments and I promise to deliver!
