Story

Where to begin? For a while now i have struggled with self esteem issues, particularly about my body image. I battled with my weight, and amongst this depression and anixety attacks. I had my first baby four months ago, so this also massively destroyed my confidence in myself. I know so many people of all shapes, sizes, and all walks of life that have both similar and different struggles daily. We need help to learn to accept ourselves and others.

Lately i began modelling. Not for Vogue of course, but it felt huge nonetheless. It has helped me more than I could imagine, but it also sparked an idea in me. Why cant i use it to help others? My project is to gather a group of around 20 models, from lots of backgrounds and all with different looks. I will photograph them, and costs will be for prints, time, putting together an online post/blog/similar site and potentially I would like to write a piece on this and try to self publish should funds allow.

I want to make people feel comfortable in their skin, not just for the sake of feeling pretty, but because I need to. I finally accepted myself, and I need to help others do the same, the best way I know is with a little creativity. Mental health is very serious, and I want to do all I can to make sure people don’t have to feel like I did. (Note: mental health, physical differences etc will all be included.)

Thank you so much for reading.
