'She Paints Our Streets' - April 13th 2024 at Millennium Board Walk Cardiff

Please help us raise some money to fund this event and help La Niebla, a young artist creating opportunities in Cardiff, to keep doing projects like these.

This project aims to challenge harmful gender norms in male dominated scenes, in this case predominantly the graffiti and hip hop scene. As graffiti is street art the event ties closely to the larger issue of women's safety on the street.

This is an event for ALL that will be headlined by Women Only. Everyone that attends will get to see the artists in their element - creating graffiti murals, performing as DJs and lyricists and running stalls selling their own merchandise.

Donate and attend the event to show your support and help us highlight the amazing women working in the graffiti and hip hop scene.

Some Background:

La Niebla's last event at Harvey Street car park helped reclaim a run down environment many people use as their local skate park due to a massive lack in urban spaces suitable for young people to skate and meet up with friends.

The purpose to highlight the lack of safe spaces proved effective as for the first time the knife crime in this area was taken note of by the media, something totally overlooked before the event.
