On Sunday 21st October Charlotte and I embark on the streets of Amsterdam to run the marathon, it is our first marathon and we both are very competitive and we both want to be first across that line.

We've set ourselves the challenge of the whole group finishing sub 4 hours More importantly, we have set out to raise money and awareness for Crediton Playscheme in the lead up to the marathon in October.

I have volunteered for a number of years for Crediton Playscheme and I would really like to give something back to them for the experience that they have given me in my development as a Teacher.

"Crediton Playscheme is an organisation that provides days out & activities for 5-16 year olds with physcical special needs, mental health conditions and learning difficulties. The activities are held during the school holidays and offer the chance for these young people to have; Social learning opportunities, education, independence, and above all, fun!

On top of this it also provides a respite day for the families, many of whom have other children in the household.

The charity is entirely run by volunteers so every penny that is received is used for the benefit of those that use our service.

Dependant on activities Crediton Playscheme needs between £5,000 and £7,500 per annum so any contribution that you can make towards this will be greatly received and very much appreciated.
