Story
We absolutely adored our cousin Grace. She was full of kindness, generosity and curiosity.
Grace suffered from mental ill-health. (Just like 1 in 4 people in the UK, who experience a mental health problem each year). Grace never got better and died by suicide in April 2018.
We miss our Grace everyday and are so proud to be running the Sheffield Half Marathon in her memory.
We will be raising money for an organisation set up by her family, which seeks to provide other young women support to improve their own mental wellbeing.
Grace to Restore is a charity aiming to support women aged 18-24 on their journey to seek improved mental wellbeing, emotional stability and a mind free from distress. They want to see women go forward in life with renewed strength and with hope.
The charity is working towards offering a safe residential environment which supports women throughout their journey. The free-of-charge programme offers one to one mentoring support and the advancement of spiritual wellbeing through private and group study.
