Story
CrimeFest needs your help.
This year’s CrimeFest is unlikely to take place in June. The crisis is devastating for everyone, but for the convention it comes at our moment of maximum financial exposure: we are already committed to large costs and commitments with the hotel, for instance, and refunding delegates means we will lose much of the income we raise through ticket sales.
For the last 12 years, CrimeFest has brought thousands of book lovers and writers together. Our existence has always been built on you, our delegates, with the bulk of our income originating from ticket sales.
We need to raise emergency funds for the sole purpose of ensuring the continuity of CrimeFest, and next year’s convention, and finding new ways to connect writers and readers to the crime fiction we all love.
Whatever you can spare, will make a big difference. And if you can’t afford to donate directly, sharing this plea further will assist us greatly.
Donors in this hour of need will be recognised on our website and the next convention's programme book.
Please donate and spread the word.
