Last February, one of the most inspiring human beings I have ever had the good fortune to meet passed away. Rosa, aged 39, was suffering from Cystic Fibrosis, an illness which doesn't yet have a cure. She was and is loved by all the people she had met: she was strong, positive, and really lived life to the full. She was a fighter.

Since February, Rosa's sister has been raising money to support the Italian Cystic Fibrosis society, to find a cure and give HOPE to the millions of people who live with this condition. HOPE it also means Helping Other People Eternally, and this is something absolutely achievable. We can all do our bit to make it happen.

And so, here I am asking for your help to make a dream come true. On 30th July I am going to run my very first half marathon, and I am going to make it to the finish line in Rosa's memory, embracing the challenge to help to raise funds. The 30th July is also Rosa's birthday, and I want to celebrate it with you. It doesn't need to be much, but if you can spare a few pounds it will make the difference.

A Febbraio una delle persone migliori che ho avuto la fortuna di incontrare nella mia vita, è andata via. Rosa, scomparsa a 39 anni, era affetta dalla Fibrosi Cistica, una malattia che ancora non ha una cura.
Da Febbraio la sorella di Rosa, sta raccogliendo fondi per supportare la Fondazione Fibrosi Cistica e trovare una cura a questa grave malattia dando speranza alle milioni di persone che ne soffrono. Speranza in inglese è HOPE che è anche il nome del progetto di ricerca della fondazione il cui acronimo Helping Other People Eternally, vuol dire "Aiutando altre persone a vivere eternamente".
E così eccomi qui a chiedervi di contribuire a questo progetto. Il 30 luglio correrò la mia prima mezza maratona con lo scopo di tagliare il traguardo, quello più grande, di trovare una cura per la Fibrosi Cistica. Ogni piccola donazione farà la differenza.
