Hi all,

2018 brings a new, very exciting (and slightly terrifying) running challenge: I’m looking to complete one half marathon each month of the year along with the Berlin marathon in September.

I have only got a few years of running under my belt and completing my first marathon in Berlin last year was an important milestone. If you’ve heard me talk about running at all, you’ll know how much of a fair-weather runner I am, so keeping up the training for that long won’t be an easy feat ;)

All money raised will go to support the rehabilitation of the paediatric infectious disease hospital in my home town of Arad, Romania. The project #cudragpentruviitor (in English: “with love for the future”) has been kickstarted by wonderful people who are stepping in where the state has all but failed... My hope is to raise a minimum of £1,000 - with a total of 275km to race, that means raising just short of £4 per km!!

December 2017 saw the launch of the first floor of the hospital which has already been renovated. Your donations will help support the rehabilitation of the second floor to bring it up to the standards of care we take for granted in a society like the UK.
