Crohns & Colitis is a disease affecting my mum resulting in her large bowel being removed over the course of 2 major surgeries after suffering with illness for 3 years prior.

Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease in the UK

Before being diagnosed my mum, like a lot of patients with these disease's was suffering in silence due to the sensitive nature of the disease, without the aid of the charity & a surgeon whom went over and above his station for my mum, she would have continued to have little quality of life and possibly no life at all.

Like anyone with these types of illness', she has her up days and down days, today, happens to be an up day and her infectious personality and happy-go-lucky outlook on life has spurred myself & 4 of our family to do the 3 peaks this year in October...

The usual time for this to be completed, is 12 hours, were aiming for 8.

Please help both raise awareness for these conditions so people don't have to suffer in silence and can be treated as soon as possible and donate to our cause which will guarantee many people, like my mum a better quality of life.
