Story

Every year since 2000, we have held a New Years Day Fireworks Display in Cromer.

The Event will occur at 5pm on 1st January 2022, with the display taking place on the famous Cromer Pier.

Please consider arriving some hours ahead and leaving a little later to avoid traffic congestion. Many of our pubs and eateries will be open during the day and evening for you to enjoy.

Donations are collected at the event and online. The collection pays for the display, with the surplus being distributed to local Charities and Community Organisations. Since 2000, over £100,00.00 has been raised for many organisations.

Organisations which have recently benefitted have included Cromer Skate Park, Friends of Suffield Park Infant and Nursery School, 1st Cromer Sea Scouts, Friends of Cromer Museum, Cromer Artspace , Cromer Christmas Lights Volunteers, Friends of North Lodge Park, Friends of Cromer Academy, and Cromer Community & Hospital Friends.

At this stage, we are still planning to hold the event in line with current Coronavirus guidance (as of 23rd December 2021), which allows for this outdoor event. If the guidance and rules change between Christmas Day and New Years Day and we are no longer able to hold our event, any money raised on this page or elsewhere will be distributed amount local groups and charities regardless.

If you are attending, we would encourage you to wear a face covering during the display and in busier areas, and have lateral flow tests before attendance.

There will still be official bucket collectors, and we ask that if you wish to put money in a bucket that you wear a face covering whilst doing so.

Everyone at the Committee wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
