Striding for Crosby Stuart & Elsie’s Story

Our Crosby Stuart U10s boys football team will complete a 9km, sponsored walk on the 27 April 2025.

The perfect route for these football obsessed boys will begin at the Marine Travel Stadium in Crosby (home of our Footballing partners Marine AFC). The boys will then stride through the Rimrose Valley Country Park and across the city to Goodison Park before arriving at the finish outside Anfield.

We need your help!

9km is a long way for small legs and the boys are asking you to dig deep and sponsor them as they take on this challenge.

All monies raised will be divided between the team and local charity Elsie’s Story.

The team will use their half to fund their end of season awards, buying training equipment and purchasing some new kit for next season.

After Elsie Dot Stancombe tragically died in the horrific Southport attack last year, her family set up Elsie’s Story as a charitable trust that aims to "continue Elsie's positivity, love for others and energy of life by providing grants to assist young people, community projects and medical care.

Crosby Stuart U10s Youth boys team is sponsored by Royal Mail this season. Given Elsie’s dad David is a postie, it seemed fitting to combine fundraising efforts on the same day that David takes on the London marathon, raising money for his daughter’s legacy charity.
