Story

In order to raise funds, I'm not just going to ask for money without doing something to earn it. I've signed up for the 'Walk 1,000 miles challenge,' which means I'll be aiming to walk 1,000 miles in 2019 to earn any donations. I will also be starting a blog on January 1, 2019, to update the daily march to 1,000 miles. I shall not be doing it all in one go...

Schools pretty much everywhere are looking to enrich the education of their students. And funding has become more of an issue over the years, placing greater burdens on parents and parent organisations to bridge the gap.

Crosshill Primary School, in South Ayrshire, is no different. It's a small school in a community of slightly less than 1,000, with caring staff and involved parents. The school's parent council raises funds to assist with all facets of the school, from educational visits to equipment.

The council is active at a variety of fund-raising events within the community, however, the more money is raised, the more we can deliver at the school.
