In the early 80’s the residents of Crown Road raised funds to purchase Christmas lights. This tradition has continued and every year throughout December, lights are strung from house to house. The residents of Crown Road get together with many others from the village to help test the bulbs, put up and take down the lights.

We are raising money as we would like to switch to led which would lower the cost of electricity for the owners who kindly offer their supply to keep the lights shining for all in the village and beyond to enjoy during the festive period aswell as saving money on replacing the bulbs every year which is very costly.
