I've raised £400 to raise funding for the brand new charity 'Churches in Croxley Green CIO' to employ a Parish Nurse for Croxley Green.

After 25 years as an NHS GP I am leaving Audley Mills Surgery on Tuesday 31st July and will embark on a 'long walk home'. This seems like a good opportunity to invite friends to support a new charity which I have been privileged to help set up to employ a Parish Nurse. The walk will be about 60 miles (into central London and out again to Croxley, I thought I'd give the M25 a miss this time!)
Parish nurses work with people of all ages and backgrounds, with any faith or none, focusing on the person rather than just a medical condition and integrating all the different aspects of health.
The Charity 'Churches in Croxley Green CIO' has been set up specifically for this purpose and we have just been approved by the Charity Commission (number 1179287). We hope to get a job advert out ASAP and employ someone (or more than one) to start in the Autumn.
