    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

Natii is 11 years old. Her father died when she was young and since then her eldest brother has sold all of the family’s assets. He has now withdrawn all of his siblings from school. The boys (incl. 8yr old) have been sent out to herd sheep and the girls have all been married, apart from Natii. He is now trying to arrange for Natii to marry a 55-year old man so that he can receive the bride price. Natii is desperate to go to boarding school as she does not feel safe living with her bother.

On Saturday we'll buy her school supplies and then Natii starts her new boarding school on Monday. We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated. We're still £260 short of the total needed to get her to the end of primary school if anyone else is able to help.

We've told Natii the great news! She's so excited to be able to go to a good boarding school and put the last few weeks behind her. Her brother also promised today to repay the livestock to the 55-year old man who Natii was due to marry. This will annul the engagement.

Thank you so much for the continued donations. We're past the half way mark and now just need £525 to complete the £1160 ($1800) needed for Natii to complete primary school in a safe, secure, supportive boarding school environment. A chance for her to retain her childhood.
