I love shoes. I have far too many pairs. So it was hard to hear recently that there are some kids locally who don't have the school shoes they need that fit well and are comfy.

I'm hoping to raise £500 for children at Brighton Avenue Primary (where I'm a Governor) who would benefit from a bit of help in getting a pair of shoes they can be proud of.

Donations of second hand shoes are great, and well utilised by the school, but sometimes they don't have the size or fit for the child who needs them.

This small fund would enable the wonderful family support worker to be able to purchase a brand new pair of shoes (or other items that are needed) when a need presents and there aren't other options available.

To earn your kind gifts I'll be running 100 miles between now and Valentines Day in my worn out running shoes. Wish me luck!
