I've raised £100 to Help give the homeless a Christmas dinner

I understand many people have different views on homelessness and the situations these people are in. However with roughly 189 across Manchester sleeping rough (with some estimates being double that number due to day to day fluctuations) it really is becoming apparent that this is a huge problem that simply shouldn't be ignored in a 21st century 1st world country. Some argue that they put themselves in this situation, maybe they do take drugs... that does not mean they visioned their life endangered on the streets, indeed, many of these have been failed by the health services meant to support people with the illness of addiction. Some may of lost their homes before turning to drugs to get them by while on the streets, others may have simply been put on the streets because of Universal Credit. We probably don't know their story and most of us cant imagine a day in their shoes. Walking theough Manchester twice a day 4 days a week breaks my heart, its something that I dread and have become very emotional about. Me and a few friends have decided to simply get together and make up Christmas dinners with a hot drink and hand out to as many homeless people as we can. Now this may not solve the problem we have but it may give hope, it may feed some who haven't ate for days whilst watching smiling faces walk by visiting the Christmas Markets. Its Christmas and nobody should go hungry or not feeling cared for at anytime, especially this one.
No matter how little your donation may be or even a helping hand it would help so much! We will be meeting on Oxford Road Sunday 16th December (Times will be confirmed for those who'd like to help)
Any excess donations will be spent on personal hygiene and simple cold weather clothing such as gloves and hats.
