We wanted to find a way for our wedding guests to offset their carbon emissions for their travel to, and stay in, Bristol. We're also aware that, in this digital age of plenty, many people value the opportunity to give a lasting and tangible gift. So, why not combine the two?

Bristol City Council offers a fantastic programme that allows us to sponsor new tree planting, thereby providing a carbon sink that will also allow us to lay down literal roots in the city! We even get to choose which specific trees that we sponsor.

We can think of few things that would give us greater pleasure than to regularly cycle past trees that we had a hand in planting.

Each tree costs £295, which covers the cost of planting and watering for two years, to ensure it establishes. So, the number of trees that we end up planting will depend on our final tally.
