Story
Dear Football Fans!
After a successful fundraising campaign in 2022 to save CSCA Kyiv Football Club, the time has come where, once again, due to the situation in Ukraine, essential funds are required to maintain the existence of the club.
CSCA Kyiv is a proud institution which not only provides football for the local community, but does a lot of work with children and veterans' organisations and others. It is a community asset which is worth saving.
In its former guise, CSCA played in the Ukrainian Premier League and reached two Ukrainian Cup Finals and also competed in both the European Cup Winners' Cup and UEFA Cup. These days the club is wholly amateur and the team participates in the Kyiv City Championship, finishing in 8th position in 2023/24.
The officials, coaches and players of the club work and play entirely for free but the club needs essential funds to pay for administrative aspects such as medical provision, pitch hire, and competition fees. The club is hoping to join the new season in August and so we are trying to raise £5,000 to pay to maintain the team's participation. Without your donations, the club will not be able to continue.
Because of the war, many brave individuals have gone to fight for their country to help Ukraine resist Russian aggression. These individuals include President, Ruslan Perizhok and many, many CSCA Kyiv fans who have gone to defend Ukraine on the front lines.
Please help if you can. I believe that together, the international football community can prolong the life of this important football club.
Yours in sport,
Phil Howden
