Story

It’s our BIG sleep out for one night only! The Capita Travel & Events and NYS Events Team are raising money for Buses 4 Homeless, a low-cost holistic solution to homelessness. Find out more here: http://buses4homeless.org/

Our team’s aim is to sleep out overnight on Thursday 25 July to raise £3,000 – this money will enable us to sponsor a homeless person for three months with shelter, food and rehabilitation with Buses 4 Homeless. This support will then result in that person being a position to find a job!

This all came about because we were moved when we met Dan Atkins (founder of Buses 4 Homeless). His determination and courage to set this charity up really inspired us – it’s a great cause with a long-term goal. The plan is to refurbish decommissioned buses into spaces where homeless people can sleep, eat, as well as benefit from wellbeing and learning, with a hope to re-integrate these homeless people back into our community.

Any donations you can make towards our efforts will be hugely appreciated!

We look forward to keeping you updated via social media using the hashtag #ourBIGsleepout2019
