Story

A junior and a senior team from the Cheshire Theatre School in Stockport are swapping Stockport for Spain after being selected to represent England at the Dance World Cup in Sitges, Spain in June of this year.

This is the largest International dance competition in the world for dancers age 5-24.

The talented youngsters will compete against dance schools from across the globe in the hope of being crowned champions and bringing the medals back to Stockport.

The dancers aged 5 to 14 have already proved their worth by beating off stiff competition to be named in the squad. Only the top dance schools in the country are chosen to represent Team England which makes it huge honour and privilege to be asked to attend.

Over the coming months, as well as rehearsing, the dance school needs to raise funds to help send the dancers who have been chosen to compete to the competition.

Our ‘Just Giving’ page has been set up to help raise funds for transport, accommodation and equipment. If you would like to help these local dancers put Stockport on the map all donations no matter how big or small will make a difference and will be much appreciated by the children.
