Story

This page has been set up in memory of Colton Mark William Leggat who was born sleeping on the 18/11/2017.

From the moment mum, Nicole and Dad, William found out that they were expecting a baby, little Colton had their hearts instantly.

Early hours in the morning of the 18th of November, Nicole and William had to go through the most tragic experience that any of us as parents could only imagine, wee Colton was born sleeping. For 4 days after, Nicole, William, all of Colton's Grandparents, Aunties, Uncles and Cousins all got the chance to spend some time with him as he was placed in a Cuddle Cot.

This time spent with Colton was a great comfort to the family and they will always cherish that time they had with him. Unfortunately there is a shortage of Cuddle Cots (also known as Cold Cots) in the hospital so not many families get to spend the length of time with their babies that Nicole and her family had, some only have had as little as 12hours with their babies.

The family are raising money in the hope to purchase and donate atleast 1 or 2 of these cots to the hospital so that other families can have the same chance to spend as much time as they can with their babies, having gone through it themselves, the family know how important it is to be given the chance to have that time. Each cot costs £1,500, so please donate what you can if you can, every little helps!
