Story

Over the years the Culswick Carol service has become a well-known and much loved part of many Shetlanders' Christmas worship and celebration. It is also the moment in the year where the largest number of people come together, from all over the isles, to support this tiny but very special place of sanctuary, celebration and reflection.

This year will be a different Christmas for many reasons and, unfortunately, it will not be possible to hold the carol service in the chapel. But like so many things, if we want to keep our faith that the important things in our lives will return and we will be able to keep up our dearly held traditions we must all do what we can to support each other now.

We have decided to put together a virtual carol service to for everyone to share in, to be together although we are distant. If you would like to support the Culswick Methodist Chapel, please donate what you can to help keep the doors of this small, dearly loved chapel open to all.

To watch the service please join us on Facebook or on the Shetland Methodist Church video channel on Youtube on Sunday the 6th Dec. at 6pm. The video will be available afterwards in the same places, throughout the festive period.
