Cumbernauld Colts FC - Supporting the Local Community

HELP US TO HELP OTHERS

Cumbernauld Colts Community Football Club prides itself on being at the heart of its local community. For 50 years, we have supported good causes, charities and other important organisations within the area. For example, our annual Colts Sleepout events each winter have raised over £8,000 to date for homelessness charities.

Due to the suspension of all football related activities the club is cancelling all direct debit charges for our players whilst we are in hibernation. We are seeking parents (who have the financial means to do so ) to donate a proportion of the monies saved from not paying club fees to support this campaign and in return support the local community. We are also welcoming donations from the wider public.

The current COVID-19 crisis is an unprecedented challenge and we want to do what we can to help. The club would like to extent support to vulnerable members of our community, for some of whom the current coronavirus is making life even more challenging.

All monies raised through this initiatives will be split between our local action plan (details below) and Clyde 1's Cash for Kids appeal.

Our Colts in the Community staff have set up an action team to assist in supporting the vulnerable. If you know of anyone who may need our help please contact us on admin@cumbernauld-colts.com or 07491 956661.

We are able to assist with: picking up and dropping off shopping; collecting and donating items from doorsteps for Cumbernauld's Bethlehem House of Bread foodbank; dog walking; a 'company call' to those who may be lonely; contact with our Club Chaplain; online tuition from qualified teacher for those undertaking homework tasks, and more.

Any help of any size is hugely appreciated. Thank you for helping us to help others in this time of need.
