**FLOOD APPEAL**

We are hoping to raise £5,000 to help Risca - based charity Community Volunteers Wales (CVW) get back on their feet after being flooded recently.

CVW is a community based charity that helps to connect people in their community. Since March 2020, they've been dedicated to creating robust and sustainable communities.

They believe no-one in their community should suffer the side effects of poverty or isolation. Everything they do looks to redirect waste from landfill and put good quality useable items into the hands of people who need them. From coffee shops to a Community Pantri, and from providing volunteering opportunities to ensuring children have school uniforms, CVW do it all.

Unfortunately, they themselves now need a helping hand to ensure the charity are able to get back on their feet following the recent flooding in Risca. On November 24th 2024 the CVW Snug Coffee Shop, based on Risca High Street, sustained substantial damage and has been unable to reopen since. Although insured, the insurance doesn't cover staff wages and other costs, including rent and utilities, which is what the money raised on this page will be put towards funding.

Times are hard so please only support if you are able to. Thank you.
