Story

The CWU Women's Advisory Committee are raising money for a postwoman of 20 years from Preston, Elaine Dalgleish, who was diagnosed 3 years ago with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Over the last 12 months Elaine's health has deteriorated, with her agility and mobility making it necessary for Elaine to have assistance with the most simple of tasks. Consultants have confirmed that as time progresses things could only get worse.

However, Stem Cell treatment trials are taking place and there is a possible cure for certain types of MS, which Elaine could potentially participate in. There is apparently an 80% chance of it stopping the condition in its tracks with improvement in mobility returning.

This would need to take place in a hospital in Russia and will cost £40,000. If for any reason the treatment did not go ahead, Elaine will donate any funds raised directly to MS Charities to assist fellow sufferers of MS. The money raised is strictly to pay for the treatment, as Elaine's family are paying for any travel & accommodation.

In addition to making a donation to this page, WAC members are also doing a sponsored silence on 14th August and anyone wishing to sponsor please contact the WAC .

Please sponsor us to help this lady. We need to raise the money by 24th September 2018.
