Cornwall Youth Choir is a collection of young singers from all over the county, ranging from Sennen to Saltash. In April 2023, the choir took part in an INTERKULTUR international choir competition. We achieved amazing results, gaining 2 Gold awards and a special award for raising the awareness of environmental issues through the medium of choral art. As a result the choir qualified for the World Choir Games - The Champions Competition! and the European Choir Games. Cornwall Youth Choirs are constantly recruiting new members and rehearsing for local and National events in preparation for the International Competitions. We recognise that we live in one of the most deprived areas in Europe and that our challenges are those of geography, rurality and poor infrastructure which makes it so hard for many of us to access centralised activities, such as our choirs. Therefore, we need to raise funds to pay for rehearsal venues and transport to events. This money will enable the singers to have an opportunity to experience what it is like to compete as a nationally recognised choir, giving them an opportunity to learn and perform.
