I've raised £18000 to donate to Cancer Research UK and Chance to Shine

18 Counties. 18 Days. 18K.
Cancer Research UK and Chance to Shine.
In July 2023, James Clark, James Toomey, and Charlie Collins will be setting off on a charitable challenge to cycle to all 18 county cricket grounds in England & Wales, in 18 days. That’s 1,100 miles, or 1,770 kilometres.
In 2019, my father, Charles Clark, sadly died from Cancer. Initially getting diagnosed with bowel cancer, the cancer spread to various other areas which was what eventually ended his innings. Therefore, we will be raising money for Cancer Research UK, which will be specifically used to fund research into metastasis, the spreading of cancer.
Aside from his family and the countryside, Charles had a love for cricket which was a joy him and I were lucky to share. When he died he was serving as Chairman of Somerset County Cricket Club, a position he felt incredibly honoured to hold. Charles was not only passionate about Somerset Cricket, but all cricket, and believed everyone should have access to the game. That is why we will also be raising money for Chance to Shine, a brilliant charity that aims to give all children the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket.
