Story
Hi everyone, I'm Shlok
As you may already know, Yemen is facing a major humanitarian crisis; a devastating conflict has left children and their families in urgent need of food, water and medical supplies. The imminent threat of the coronavirus merely aggravates the impact of the conflict that affects nearly 25 million innocent citizens right now, and it is our duty to help in any way we can from our position of privilege.
It is for this reason that myself and Kian Paydar along with 11 other people (Listed below) have decided to raise money by cycling the distance from the United Kingdom to Yemen (7219 km) collectively, in one month. We would appreciate any contribution to this cause.
Any donation can help one less Yemeni citizen face these atrocious hardships every day so please, donate to save lives.
To follow our journey across the next 30 days please follow @cycle_to_save_yemen on Instagram, or to see the total distance we have done so far, please follow us here, https://www.strava.com/clubs/yemen-cycling
The money that will be raised will be split 50-50 with the World Food Programme and UNICEF.
