Hello, My name is Terry and I am 17 years old. Me and 3 others, Fernando, Ahmed and Paolo, of 16 and 17 hope to be riding from London to Paris in April 2017 for a charity called The Mark Evison Foundation.
The Mark Evison Foundation was set in 2009 to promote personal, mental and physical development of young people. Lt Mark Evison died in 2009 from a gunshot wound whilst serving as a British army officer in Afghanistan. The Foundation was set up in memory to him plus his values and character are a driving force in it.
Why does this matter to us? This is a personal challenge for all of us because we all do not participate in Sports regularly so this is a physical challenge for us as well as a mental challenge. Riding long distances most of the time, proves a challenge for people who partake in them. Perseverance and determination is required and we are willing to challenge ourselves as this charity pledges.
As we are 17 and 16 and not in full time work, we do not gain income monthly so we are hoping you guys could help us out.We already have ££500 from the charity itself but we feel that is not enough as bike hire is £400 and ship travel is £125 and we are supposed to raise more ourselves. Our funds are mostly going to be spent on Hotels and Travel to get there. Everything else is paid by us but if you are willing to put in that extra donation for us for other equipment, that would really help us a lot.
Please donate to us, big or small and help us reach our goal of completing this challenge :D
