    Story

Cygnet Law will be holding their Annual Sponsored Walk to raise funds for Redcar based charity, EVA.

It has been widely reported in recent months that EVA have had cuts the funding of their services.

EVA Women's Aid were told in March that their bid for funding from 2019 to 2022 was unsuccessful. The service has provided support to survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse in Redcar and Cleveland since 1987. Their services include sexual violence support and specialist counselling to children and young people of all genders, and to adult females. Whilst the recent cuts have placed further strain on the funding of services - it also demonstrates more than ever the need of the community to rally around to help EVA offer the services that they offer to such vulnerable women.

The annual walk will take place on 19th July 2019 along Redcar Beach and anyone is welcome to join to help reach the target set.
