Cylch Meithrin Llechryd is a volunteer-led pre-school in the rural village of Llechryd, West Wales. It is part of the Mudiad Meithrin charitable organisation that aims to provide children of all backgrounds and incomes across Wales with excellent early-years education in Welsh.

As with all Cylch Meithrin's, Llechryd relies heavily on donations, grant and fundraising in order to cover overheads and buy equipment. The cylch introduces young children from 2 years old to school and enables them to start school on an equal footing. The staff, commitee and parents work so hard to give all the children a brilliant start, for nothing - or in the staffs case, next to nothing! - A little money goes a long way so please donate a little to this fantastic charity, even just the price of a takeaway coffee will make a difference!

On the 16th June I will be walking 14 miles along the coastal path with Hydro Dragon events. As most of you will know I have a 7 month old baby, which basically means I've been sat on my backside for the last year, so with zero training this will be a fair old challenge for me!

I know its not life or death, and I know its not the London Marathon, but in these times of funding cuts, auterity and all that, organisations like this are the life-blood of our communities and I feel passionately that they need our support. If you are able to donate I will be so so grateful.
