Story
My name is Lee Howdle, I am the Cyprus area Sergeant Major for the Cyprus army cadets. On the 6th July I will be undertaking a 85 mile sponsored walk challenge in support of the Army Cadet Force and “One Dream One Wish” a local charity in Cyprus.
Myself and a small team will be walking approximately 85 miles across the southern coast of Cyprus over 4 days — a long and demanding challenge that we will be taking on to make a real difference to the young people involved in our local cadet units and also in support of the One Dream One Wish Association helping children affected by cancer and related diseases across Cyprus.
Why are we doing this?
Every year, the army cadets in Cyprus travel to the United Kingdom to attend their Annual Camp — a vital part of cadet training and development. This camp gives young cadets the opportunity to develop leadership skills, teamwork, discipline, and confidence alongside cadets from across the UK.
However, the cost of flights from Cyprus to the UK is a significant barrier. Without funding, some cadets may be unable to attend. Every penny raised will be equally divided between the Army Cadets and the “One Dream One Wish” charity going directly towards helping local children suffering from cancer, leukaemia and other haematological diseases..
Please join us in making a difference. Your generosity will help nurture confidence, teamwork, and resilience among these young cadets. Together, we can empower them to grow into capable and inspired individuals and and helping families in Cyprus. Thank you for taking the time to visit our page and consider supporting this cause.
